Social media analytics is the meaning behind your performance on the platform being analyzed that can help support business decisions, they monitor performance and actions. The purpose of these analytics is to help individuals understand key pillars of content performance: target audience, effectiveness of content, and audience engagement.


Key Areas of Social Media Analytics

To find the pillars of your content performance there are five areas you want to focus on analyzing

  1. Audience Analytics: Demographic, behaviors, interests

  2. Content Performance: The effectiveness of the content

  3. Competitor Analysis: Audit competitor social media performance.

  4. Impact Analysis: How is your audience feeling about the content and brand

  5. Community Engagement: Conversations, trends, mentions


Key Metrics of Social Media Analytics
  1. Click-Through Rate (CTR): How many people clicked the link

  2. Conversions: Purchases, subscriptions

  3. Engagement: Comments, shares, reactions, likes

  4. Followers: Growth of community and followers across the platform

  5. Reach & Impressions: Number of times your content was seen and displayed

  6. Website Traffic: Visitors to the website from the social platform


How to Breakdown Analytic Data
